A message from the president

Your Nanaimo Motocross Association board is looking forward to 2024 with a continued focus on reinvesting in our facility, equipment, and a sustained water source. Our memberships continue to grow and our race schedule are well attended. Investing in safety lighting, water pumps, and sound systems give our events an exciting and welcoming atmosphere. The income from our racing events and the generous donations from our sponsorships are used to buy and maintain our equipment and update our facility.

Our board of directors continues to evolve and grow, and we have some great people stepping up, getting involved, and working hard to help with the operation and growth of this amazing facility. Meeting frequently, we discuss ways to enhance our sport through diversity and inclusion, keeping safety and costs in our decision making.

In 2023, We had the Tuesday Night Kids, where our little rippers and families could enjoy our facility in a fun and non-competitive way. This was possible by the generous time and effort from VI Powersports and their staff.  We would like to continue offering programs like this and others to our members and non members.

The VIMX Championship had great racing last year, with solid gates numbers, ranging from the Tykes to the Plus 50. We look forward to working with our other Island tracks to provide a successful race season in 2024.

As always, our board and facility rely on support from businesses, volunteers, and individuals. We look forward to working with our current partners, and developing relationships with new ones and volunteers to provide a first class facility for our racers and riders.

If you would like to get involved, please do not hesitate to contact us. Remember, this is your track and facility. Help from our members in looking after it is absolutely critical and much needed. See you at the track!
