The Nanaimo Motocross Association (NMA) is a non-profit organization that operates on a combination of membership dues, sponsorship contributions and donations. The association was formed 20 years ago and continues to grow each year with over 350 members in 2009. Racers range from as young as four years old all the way up to the “Plus 40” class, and the “Ladies” class is growing each year. The Vancouver Island Series has gone from three tracks in 2007 to five tracks in 2009! Nanaimo has hosted rounds of the Canadian Pro National Championships and we are proud to have it regularly described by the national riders, promoters and the media as one of the best and most challenging tracks in Canada. Our Wastelands Motocross Park is open year round for riders to practice casually or train for the race season. Many enjoy camping at the facility with friends and family. This is truly a family sport and we are ecstatic to have this fantastic world class facility locally here on Vancouver Island.
NMA holds many different formats of racing and events throughout the year including the Vancouver Island Spring and Fall Series Championship races, Nanaimo Club races, ATV events and MX Schools.

Membership Types
- Single Individual Membership $210
- Family Membership $210 for 1st member, $35 per additional to max. of $280
- Associate Single Individual Membership $90
- Associate Family Membership $90 for 1st member, $30 per additional to max. of $150
Membership Purchase Options
New memberships and renewals can be purchased via the following methods:
- Online - From this site using the New Member Application link for new members, or the Membership Renewal link instructions to renew your last year's membership
- In Person - At any Nanaimo race or track event from the sign-up tower, or at the track from NMA Executive contacts
- Motorsports Sponsor - at the following Sponsor motorcycle shops:

For online membership applications and renewals, your member key and decal(s) will be mailed within 2 business days to the address specified in the online application. If you prefer to pickup your key and decal(s), please contact one of the following NMA Executives in an area near you.

Note that you must be a member of your "home" track in order for your Island Series Points to count towards prizes awarded at the year end banquet, and to qualify for an associate membership at other tracks. The only exception to this that Westshore MX members are eligible to purchase an Associate NMA membership.
The Vancouver Island Motocross Assocation (VIMX) has determined the club boundaries as follows:
- Port McNeil: Sayward and North
- Campbell River: Sayward to Parksville
- Port Alberni: Port Alberni to Nanoose
- Nanaimo: South of Nanoose to Victoria (and surrounding South Island areas)
Memberships Benefits
- Unlimited access to the track for the year (unless closed for grooming or maintenance)
- Key to the gate, come and go as you please
- Free camping at Wastelands anytime including events (excluding BC's and Nationals)
- Free admission to Island Series Race Events hosted by Nanaimo (excluding BC's and Nationals)
- Access to membership events (social, fun days, practice days, etc.)
- Automatic inclusion in all club emails and/or news letters
- Lordco discount card
It saves you money to join Nanaimo MX and gives you the freedom to use the facility at your leisure!
Save your Day Pass receipts as one can be applied towards the purchase of an annual membership until August 15, provided the day pass was purchased from a sponsor location and not at the track.
Members: Please be advised that day passes must be purchased for all guest riders that you bring to the track. Please protect our track and facility by ensuring that every rider purchases a pass and signs the insurance waiver.
