Do you want to race next year?
Well guys the current Executive has been around for a while now. We have done many races, track changes, permanent site improvements, banquets, and Nationals. We are all feeling like it's time to move on. All the Executive and Directors will be stepping down at the AGM this fall. It's time for a new crop of people to step up and run the club. The AGM date has not yet been set, but if no one is voted in, there will be no NMA or racing next year. If you have been thinking of getting involved now is the time!! Come see us at the Tower on race days or send any of us an email.

NMA needs to fill some positions for Nationals weekend. We need 8 people for Watering and 8 people for Garbage Pick up both Saturday and Sunday. Anyone interested please call Armin at 210-1424.

Bike Eligibility: Any motorcycle with a min displacement of 85cc and maximum displacement of 153cc, and must have a minimum wheel size of 17inch front and 14 inch rear wheel size.

Race Cancelled and Track Closed!
Hi everyone. Well we got 14 inches of snow in Nanaimo last night. The official word is the race is cancelled. Please pass on the word to anyone who may not have access to the internet today.
Needless to say the track is closed this week. There is lots of snow on it. We need Mother Nature to drain off and dry out!

April 10, 2008 Track Open!
The track is open starting Saturday April 12th to all members for riding.
The direction of the track has been REVERSED. Please follow all directional signs and take it slow the first few laps.
If anyone needs a membership Donna will have some available on Sunday at the race in Campbell River.
April 5, 2008 Track Changes and Closure
Good News and Bad News! Thegood news is the track changes were completed this weekend!! The bad news is the track is closed until April 12th, weather permitting. We need the track to settle before anyone can ride it. It will be worth the wait!
Thanks to everyone who came out to make these changes happen, even in the rain.
First Aid Attendants Needed- paid position
We need to hire two Level Three First Aid Attendants for our races. If anyone is interested please call Armin at 722-3617. If we can't secure First Aid we will not be able to have our race.
April 2, 2008 Work Party and Track Maintenance
Work Party this weekend April 4-6th. This is the last chance we have to get the track ready for racing! We will be fixing fencing, getting the tower ready, grooming, planting wildseed, signage, and general clean up. The track will be closed to riding starting Friday April 4th at 2:00 pm.

Annual General Meeting With the racing season about to wrap up at the Wastelands, the executive of the Nanaimo Motocross Association is pleased to have participated in another successful year. We, urgently require volunteers, to perform many of the tasks associated with running the club, as well as hosting the various events, held at the Wastelands each season. We need to replace volunteers who have served and left, as well as fill many positions for the upcoming year. As members of such a great place to ride, we the members of the Nanaimo Motocross Association have the duty and the right to protect ourselves. We must take the time to lock our facility while we are using it, as well as when we leave it. It is a condition of membership we agreed to when we joined the club, and our obligation to all the other members. It is one way, we can all do our part, to protect our facility from unauthorized use and vandalism. A new lock is being keyed to install on the gate at the track. It will be easier, and more convenient to use. As a result of the many complaints about the difficulty in using the current lock we have decided to try a new type of lock.
